Saban Films has taken U.S. rights to action-thriller “Duchess”, directed by Emmy Award nominee Neil Marshall’s (“Game of Thrones,”Hellboy”) Saban is expected to release the film in early 2024. The deal was announced by Palisades Park Pictures CEO, Tamara Birkemoe.
“We are delighted to be working with Saban Films and some of the top independent distributors on this action-packed crime-thriller directed by the talented Neil Marshall,” said Birkemoe. “We are excited to screen it at the AFM and to roll out the release next year.”

“Duchess” follows no-nonsense Scarlett Monaghan and her rise from a working-class petty criminal to becoming a ruthless organized crime leader in the seedy underbelly of the diamond smuggling circuit of Tenerife.
The film stars Charlotte Kirk (Ocean’s Eight. The Lair), Philip Winchester (”Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), Sean Pertwee (Fox’s “Gotham,” Event Horizon), Colm Meaney (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” ConAir) and Stephanie Beacham (“Dynasty,” “The Colbys”).
Produced by Emily Corcoran of Cork Films, and Kristyna Sellnerova, “Duchess” is executive produced by Joe Simpson, Simon Williams, Jonathan Bross and Matthew E. Chausse of Ashland Hill Media Finance, and Norman Merry and Peter Hampden of Lip Sync, as well as Jon Dean, Phil Rymer, Seth Sklar, Colin Egglesfield, Giada Falzoni, Charlotte Kirk and Neil Marshall. Marshall and Kirk also co-wrote the screenplay.
