Sascha Ley

Multidisciplinary artist Sascha Ley is a singer, improviser, actress, poet and performer who explores stylistic boundaries at the intersections of jazz, free improvisation, imaginary folklore, classical and new music, creating a blend of improvisation and composition.

Based in Luxembourg, she performs internationally as a soloist, with her own duo, in quartet, and as a guest in a wide variety of ensembles between jazz and contemporary music.

In addition to music, she is also active as an actress, performer and occasional director, and is involved in the performing and visual arts.

She acquired her multidisciplinary training between Amsterdam, Luxembourg, Saarbrücken and Mumbai, India.

In the 90s, she began acting in Luxembourg productions and co-productions.

In 2005, she received the “Studio Hamburg European Shooting Star” award for Luxembourg at the Berlinale.
