40th Annual IDA Documentary Awards Call for Entries

The 40th Annual IDA Documentary Awards Call for Entries will open this Friday, June 21, and close on Monday, August 5. You can find all entry deadlines and key announcement dates on the website.

There have been some changes to entry categories this year, so please be sure to read all the Rules & Regulations and FAQs before submitting your work for consideration.

If your project will be completed after August 5, you can request a deadline extension by filling out this form.

For those facing financial barriers to submitting their work for consideration, you can request a fee discount or waiver here.

Both deadline extension and fee discount/waiver requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The IDA Documentary Awards honors the best nonfiction films and programs of the year and aims to showcase excellence in the global documentary field, whether by emerging or established documentarians.
