VERDICT: Original, sophisticated films that pushed the limits of fiction and documentary were recognized by juries at this year's Tiger awards.

Taking home multiple prizes, Fiume o morte! by Croatian director Igor Bezinovic won the 2025 Tiger Competition Award and the Fipresci Award, in what critic Carmen Gray called “a madcap and irreverent yet astute and politically trenchant intervention by Bezinovic into public space in his own hometown” of Fiume (now Rijeka), Croatia.
