Restaurant Jansz is named for 17th-century craftsman Volkert Jansz, a man who embraced the finer things in life but also believed that the decadance and luxury are best when shared. You will not recognize the main entrance. This is because they filmed it at the back of the hotel. Though it states “Pulitzer Hotel” above the door, the main characters actually enter through the door of restaurant Jansz.

The hotel consists of 25 historic canal houses for the 17th and 18th century, merged into one beautiful building back in 1970.
