In this scene: John Robie/Conrad Burns (played by Cary Grant) and Francie Stevens(played by Grace Kelly) stroll through the gardens of the Sanford Villa pretending to look for a property to buy. However, Francie is more interested in discussing John’s choice of women, while John prefers to talk about Francie’s ability to attract men who are after her money.

To Catch a Thief is a romantic thriller movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock. It was the first film of his to use the VistaVision widescreen process, and the last one with Grace Kelly. The movie received mixed reviews from critics but went on to win several awards. Robert Burks won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, while Hal Pereira, Joseph
McMillan Johnson, Samuel M. Comer, and Arthur Krams were nominated for Best Art Direction. Edith Head was also nominated for Best Costume Design. In 2002, the American Film Institute included the film in AFI’s 100 Years…100 Passions.
