The Film Verdict (TFV) launches the industry’s first trade audio film reviews with THE FILM VERDICT ON POINT (TFV On Point), a new podcast series that will turn TFV film reviews into audio broadcasts.
TFV ON POINT joins Showcast, Chinephile Corner and Noir360 as part of The Film Verdict Network. The new series of audio reviews will be available over 63 major podcast audio platforms, reaching a vast audience. It will find its home on The Film Verdict Network website and will also be distributed on the TFV weeklies and the festival dailies.
Sarah Vianney will host TFV ON POINT. Born in Vienna as the child of an Austrian mother and a French-Somali father, Sarah began her 25-year career as a TV presenter and journalist. Focusing heavily on in-depth interviews with artists and culture stories, she has written and filmed for ARTE, Sunday Times Magazine, ZDF, ORF, Amazon Prime, Channel V, Red Bull FHM, SCMP and many others. After spending a decade living in Los Angeles, Vianney now calls London her home, thoroughly enjoying the living script material all around her.
“I am really looking forward to producing this podcast opportunity – I think film critics are so wonderful, their thirst for cinematic knowledge is vast and so important to the film industry, said Sarah. Vianney continues, “The Film Verdict’s ON POINT (TFV ON POINT) offers a one minute version of these reviews, giving the audience yet another reason to explore international films from both a cinephile point of view and for the film industry.”
The Film Verdict Network Managing Director Matt Micucci comments, “Podcasts are uniquely dynamic, offering listeners the flexibility to engage with content on their own terms. We are thrilled to launch the new TFV ON POINT series, as we continue to harness the powerful reach of podcasts to bring our film reviews to an even wider audience.”
Editor and chief critic of The Film Verdict Deborah Young adds; “We are delighted to have such a highly qualified journalist as Sarah Vianney presenting TFV On Point, a pioneering series that offers TFV reviews from our top film critics in an audio format.”
