n animator and film director born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Patricio Plaza studied visual arts and audiovisual communication at the National University of La Plata. He worked as a commercial 2D animator for various studios for over 20 years, participating in seven feature films and numerous series and advertising projects.

His personal work focuses on animation for adults with a political perspective. The short films El Empleo (2008) and Padre (2013), of which he is a co-author, were selected in over 500 festivals and received more than 200 international awards, including festivals such as Annecy, Anima Mundi, Biarritz, Hiroshima, and SICAF, among others.

In 2019, he founded Ojo Raro, a production and reflection space focused on animated imagery that aims to produce animation of popular genres from a South American and queer perspective. Carne de Dios, the production company’s first short film, was selected in the Official Competition of the Annecy Festival and won the award for Best Argentine Short Film at the Mar del Plata Film Festival.
